Release Notes
It’s been more than twenty years after the word “techno” had been imprinted on a record for the first time, and it has evolved through time, to become today a symbol of culture, a brand, a way of life. Same as many years ago, this global music giant still doesn’t fail to win over souls of people eager to dance. Talking about techno and dancing, I would like to present something which is certain to shake you up. Spirko and Nemus aka Phynky Physical, bring us two tracks wrapped up in an EP named Delivery Job. The first composition, Small Slip Up, promises a nice flow from the very beginning. The unintrusive rhythm section combined with a “bombastic” bass line goes through various minor changes until somewhere around the middle of the track, when a fantastic piano melody drops in, completely unannounced. And this is not the end: while you’re focused on listening to the piano, a charming dialogue between a male and female voice will call to your attention. The second track is named Big Trip Up and it seemingly sounds the same as the first one, but after only a few seconds of listening, you’ll realize you’re just in a “big trip”. This track is a kind of response to the Small Slip Up, with a slightly more plastic sound, which is mainly contributed to by synths interwoven with well-combined rhythm and bass line. For all those who like to dig up good techno, I recommend you look for Delivery Job and get the job done. By Damjan Eltech / Cube
