Beople is a well-known graphic designer on the dance music scene but here he showcases his production ability with three stunning originals for Parity Records. Also included in the package are remixes from label owner Antonio Caballero and his twisted psychedelic techno guise Syphon as well as former Maetrik cohort and veteran Dallas DJ/producer ill76. This EP is adventerous, tapping in to the restless pursuit of the new that has defined Parity's releases to date.Charm is a gorgeous mix of mood and strings, a perfect opening track for the night with complex arrangements. Syphon's remix chops it up, makes the arrangement staccato, and adds layers of sinister but cool acid lines.Smoke City is a blissful example of chillout house with inviting melodies and wistful atmospherics that are wonderfully soulful. ill76 adds a nice Midwest techno touch that doesn't abandon the ambient vibes of the original, but instead bends the relentless chugging beats around the track's melodic dynamics.Moire blurs the line between warm Detroit techno and lush tech-house for a unique vibe that builds in to an unstoppable, melodic groove. Caballero acid house's things up on his remix for a very current nudisco vibe with a dubby techno deliciousness.
